The first cat was cloned in 2001. "Carbon Copy" or "CC" for short, turned out to be quite different in both appearance and personality from her genetic donor, even though identical genetically. So much for cloning pets for profit! Rabbits were cloned in 2002 and the first male mammal (a mule) was cloned in 2003. In 2004, a bull was cloned from a previously cloned bull (serial cloning).
